Overview

The Shoulder Support is a shoulder support sleeve built for injury recovery, post-op healing, and inflammation relief. It fits either shoulder, right or left, and wraps the joint in soft, latex-free fabric that flexes with normal movement, so patients get stability without losing range of motion.

How it works

A detachable Velcro strap anchors the sleeve across the back, holding it in place through normal shoulder movement. The non-compressive fabric supports the joint through fit rather than pressure, so circulation stays steady whether it's worn over a thin shirt during the day or directly against skin overnight.

Key benefits

Latex-free, metal-free fabric means no rigid stays and no pinch points under a shirt. The low-profile design works for either shoulder and stays comfortable through a full day or a full night, since patients can wear it 24 hours directly against skin without it interfering with normal range of motion.

Who it's for

This fits patients recovering from a rotator cuff strain, a labrum injury, or general shoulder inflammation who need shoulder support for pain relief without a rigid brace slowing them down. It also fits anyone managing a long recovery who wants shoulder support for injury that holds up to daily wear.

Clinical applications

Rehab teams recommend the Shoulder Support after rotator cuff repair and shoulder replacement, when a patient needs stability but can't tolerate the pressure of a compression garment during early healing. It also supports general inflammation and impingement pain that flares with overhead activity.

Why choose iDe Medical

iDe Medical has supplied physician-vetted recovery products since 2004, including devices used by VA and DOD facilities. The Shoulder Support carries that same standard: a shoulder sleeve support option simple enough for daily wear and consistent enough for a clinic to recommend after surgery.

FEATURES/BENEFITS: Non-compressive material is breathable and extremely easy to apply Versatile, low-profile design is perfect for extended wear.

USE DIRECTIONS: Wear as needed. Can be worn 24/7 directly against skin. Can be used on both shoulders right and/or left.

RECOMMENDED WEAR: Wear while sleeping to capitalize on your body’s healing potential while fully and rest. Overnight wear also counteracts the natural reduction in circulation that you experience when sleeping.

USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS: To apply, place the detachable Velcro piece on the back-facing strap. For better results, adjust and wear as needed with a thin shirt or directly against the skin for better results. Do not apply Velcro to fabric material on the shoulder. Wash cold, tumble dry low without Velcro.

PROPRIETARY FABRIC: a blend of technical fibers including polyester, nylon, and cotton. All Reparel products are latex and metal free.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It's built from non-compressive fabric that supports the joint through a snug, adjustable fit rather than the graduated pressure of a true compression sleeve. Most patients find that more comfortable for extended or overnight wear.

  • This is a soft, flexible sleeve designed for stability and gentle support during daily movement. Patients who need full joint immobilization after major surgery typically start with a hinged brace, then move to a sleeve like this one as motion returns.

  • Yes. The sleeve fits both right and left shoulders, so one size configuration works regardless of which side needs support.
