Our Founder

Eric Dahlinger founded iDe Medical in 2004 as he developed patents in the Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic space. To date, he has 6 issued patents with several products licensed and currently in the market. His real interest and passion for Orthopaedics started when he started a "work study" job taking pictures in surgery and helping surgeons prepare their lectures while a sophomore at the University of Vermont. The responsibility grew and he finished his college career as a full-time employee of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

He has held many positions in the industry and has worked with "start up" technology companies and market leading companies over the years. Today he prefers the freedom and versatility of being an entrepreneur to create a unique experience focused on patient experience and their outcomes.

The Patellofemoral Foundation continues to be his passion as he was a charter board member of the non-profit organization along with Drs. John Fulkerson, Peter Jokl, and tennis great Ivan Lendl. He currently contributes his time as the Executive Director of the organization. Most recently the PFF launched an 11 module “e-Learning” experience for surgeons and other health care providers to educate and guide them through the diagnosis and treatment options for the patellofemoral joint. The organization relies on contributions from individuals and corporate sponsors to help with the educational goals of the PFF.
